Mission
Our mission is to create awareness about the tremendous importance of women's literacy and its impact on the development of families, communities and entire countries.
I will be running 1,100 miles beginning on May 15th to demonstrate my dedication to promoting literacy efforts here in Oregon within our immigrant population and abroad in Latin America.
I believe strongly that promoting women's literacy will help create lasting development for sustainable communities here and abroad.
About Us
About Kelly

Born in Portland, Oregon, Kelly lives with Kurt and her running partner Zissou the dog.
Kelly's passion for running began in Seoul, South Korea in 2005. The beautiful autumn weather along the Haan River provided the back drop for a life dedicated to the sport.
As a tutor for IRCO, Kelly worked with a Hmong woman who was illiterate in her own language. The Hmong are stateless people and this woman was raised in a refugee camp and had never communicated in writing or ever even held a pen.
Kelly helped this woman to learn to read and write. Through this experience, Kelly has studied the importance of women's literacy to the development of communities. That is why she has chosen to run 1,100 miles.
